Sildar Hallwinter is a kindhearted human male of nearly fifty years who holds a place of honor in the famous Griffon Cavalry of the city of Fallcrest. He is an agent of the Lords Alliance, a group of allied ex-adventurers with a concern for the mutual security and prosperity of the world at large. Members of the order ensure the safety of the Cities and other settlements by proactively eliminating threats by any means, while bringing honor and glory to their leaders and homelands.
Sildar met Gundren Rockseeker in Fallcrest and agreed to accompany him to Kole and on to Phandalin. Sildar wants to investigate the fate of Iarno Albrek, a human wizard and fellow member of the Lords Alliance who disappeared shorty after arriving in Phandalin. Sildar hopes to learn what happened to Iarno, assist Gundren in reopening the old mine, and help restore Phandalin to a civilized center of wealth and prosperity.
Sildar has grown to learn of his friend Iarno’s becoming the Redbrand leader GlassStaff. He has also established himself at the town-master’s hall. As an agent of the Lords Alliance, his goal is to bring law and order to Phandalin. As such he wants to find the lost mine of Wave Echo Cave and help the Rockseeker brothers put it back into production, believing that bringing prosperity to the region will help civilize the town.
Sildar offers to pay the party 50gp to escort him to Phandalin. – Completed
Finding Cragmaw Castle: Sildar offers the party 500gp if they can locate Cragmaw Castle and defeat or drive off the tribes cheiftain.
Finding Iarno: Sildar asks the party to investigate Tresendar Manor and learn of what happened to his friend Iarno “a short, dark-bearded human wizard in his thirties” He offers them 200gp for eliminating the Redbrand threat and discovering Iarnos fate. – Completed
